Of the great revolving cycle

Of the great revolving cycle (2018) explores Chania, Crete through the idiom of the whirling, volatile geometry of the panorama––flattened images that resist flatness, and single images that keep reaching back toward the ten to twelve source images from which they were constructed.  Their strangeness owes to the ways that they struggle to naturalize the experience of looking in oppoiste directions at once.  The 180º of space across which they move cannot be seen except through such pictures.
